Well, it's been a super rough summer, but somehow I'm managing to endure it. har har! We planned a gnarly girls weekend. First up was a rafting trip through the gorge Friday afternoon. Pictured here is me, Molly, Nissa, Becca, Kristen, Megan, Michelle, with Heather in front. What a beautiful place! And what genuinely fantastic, amazing women I get to hang out with! Love them all!
I felt compelled to jump the cliff even if it was chilly. I knew I would be so cold for the rest of the ride, but it's been years since a cliff jumping opportunity has presented itself, so I felt I had no choice!
We laughed that helmets were required until one rapid where the guide lost control of one of his oars and it hit Molly in the head. Thankfully, she was knocked into the boat instead of outside of the boat and I'm glad she had a helmet to absorb that surprise impact!
I cannot get over these views! This was a very tame whitewater rafting afternoon. We're hoping for a more risky trip next year. I'm so happy that we're starting this tradition!
This raft had been sitting in the sun and was so nice and warm! We had some yummy snacks overlooking the river here before heading home. A few of us continued the party by having dinner with birthday girl, Heather, at the Montana Club. Becca introduced us to the best appetizer ever- mozzerella sticks covered in caramel sauce and bacon. Who would have thunk?! So so good.
So many good people are moving away this summer, or have announced it this summer. A couple of the women on this trip, and a couple that couldn't make it are leaving. I have met such good people here and will miss them terribly. Happy for the time we've had, though.
