Avery and I did our first triathlon this summer and it didn't disappoint! Mine was a sprint tri with 4 of my favorite ladies and Avery did the kid race just after us. It was super fun afterwards, but at the time I was thinking that I really ought to put more effort into training! I didn't bring my camera, so these are a few photos courtesy of the marvelous Becca. The early morning drive to Seeley lake was super foggy and cold and I had concerns about swimming in the lake. But by 9 am race time, the fog lifted and the water temp was perfect. The bike was brutal and I found Becca in the run section so it was fun to have a buddy to talk to. It was fun to cheer on Avery and we both agree that we'll do it again next year. There was a barbq following the races and then we stayed and played on the beach for a couple hours afterwards. It was a great beginners race, especially for families.
