This March, I embarked on an amazing trip to Belize, leaving Eric and the kids home with all this snow.
It was exciting to see the warm blue sea...
and the beautiful landscape we would soon enjoy!
I had a magical time leaving my fabulous mom life and truly vacationing with these amazing ladies- Lori, Carley, and Debbie. We took a plane to Texas and then Belize City. From there we chartered a little plane to the coastal town of Placencia. I had been up all night and travelling for two days (more on that later) and that final charter plane had me nearly throwing up! It was the heat and my gut and although I usually pride myself, weirdly, on not getting sick, I almost lost it! From this little beach, we rode the funniest and choppiest boat to our resort for the next 3 days. We were so exhuasted and couldn't stop laughing at all the salt water bathing us repeatedly in our long sleeves and pants as the boat went up and down and up and down!
We were waited on hand and foot at this resort! Let the true vacation begin!
