RODEO!!!

Tate and I made a short day-trip yesterday for his first rodeo experience. He enjoyed lunch and made friends with baby Miranda by trying to sit on her. She's Vicky Leonord's 4 month old daughter that Carly is babysitting. I hope they don't mind me posting her picture!

Then, we went into the stadium and he screamed during the National Anthem. I was hoping patriotism would come more naturally, but it looks like we'll have to teach him that. Can you see the single tear left over from that episode?

He actually only lasted about 10 minutes and we went home for naptime. We later returned to the park to check out the shops. Not pictured: Tate enjoyed one of the best parts of Round-Up...elephant ears! And Melissa, this last picture is for you. You no longer have to feel bad about your own photography skills. Mine are so lacking! We wanted a shot of him with the cows, but I was too lazy to walk the stroller over the pebbles (they're so pebbley!) to get him closer. So, look in the background at the cows. And to my siblings, you can see some of dad's rodeo get-up. I don't know about you guys, but I've always enjoyed how he turns into a cowboy for one week out of each year.

P.S. Alison, if you read this I have to apologize for not giving you a call. I was thinking of you, but had to head home for mutual. So, it really was a quick trip, but I hope you and your family enjoyed the rodeo!

Oh, that's making me miss the Round-Up! Wish I were there, too! Looks so fun! (I especially love all the one week cowboys! We totally were when we lived there.)

Shelly, you are too funny. The whole Tatum and patriotism...funny, but yes, sad that it didn't come naturally...I mean my kids they are so patriotic...they love fireworks at the 4th of July...oh, does that not count...Seriously, I cannot get enough of that darling boy. He makes me smile every time I see him. Good to see your parents too...I love your family!

No, Kadi. Shelly totally photoshopped that picture. I'm actually 20 pounds thinner. Oh, and thank my parents for not calling me Janet. Or just naming me Shirlene Janet. Parents are so annoying.
