Sunday

(Avery today: 5 months old. Time has seriously flown.)

Avery thinks it's really funny when I am kissing her feet and then notice they're orange and then cry "Ewww!" in disgust as I realize that I've been kissing and wiping poop-stained feet on my face!

Oops! We didn't notice that they were dirty when we covered them in tights and she had to have poopy feet for three hours of church =) Sorry about that baby girl!

Today...

Avery told me that they're friends!

Which makes me so happy.

Sometimes Tate even kisses her!
But not for the camera yet.
Little munchkins are my favorite. This one's name is Squishalicious or just Squish-alish!

3 New Posts Today (this is for you, ma =)

Probably Tate's coolest trick (and most toddlers', too) is that he
NEVER STOPS MOVING.

For those who are wondering

Avery is still being a perfect little angel baby. She's also getting a tooth in a silly little place. It looks like it'll be one of those side fang teeth. She also enjoys rolling from her back to her tummy a lot.

I'm soooooo looking forward to summer for dresses like the one shown above. I'm so anxious that she has been wearing dresses this week already, I just add pants or tights. Ahh, the joy of little girls!

Someday I'll miss this....maybe

This morning we went to Fred Meyer too early. The playland wasn't open yet. (boo hiss--Carly, this cracked me up when I read your latest post!) So, one cheesestick and two fruit snack packets later we were getting help out to the car and I was feeling good about the trip. Tate really is getting better about cooperating in public. And private, too, he's been spotted cleaning up toys!! (Shout-out to Jerica and grandpa for getting him going on that.)

Then I remembered what I forgot, because even though I have a list every week, I always forget something. It's a fun little tradition I have. But this time it was important, so I stopped by Yokes near our home. As I checked out I realized that I was fresh out of bribes for the boy, so I gave him the change and he gladly followed us out. Until we met the automatic doors. So I let him play a bit until I noticed the reason for his smirk while he was running back and forth between the sets of doors. He had the dimes in his mouth. Isn't that cute? I'm so happy and lucky and quite shocked that I've never been to the emergency room with this child. (Well, once, but that was fever.)

To top it off, he pulled the ole' stiff straight body while yelling and grabbing my necklace trick when I wrestled him into his carseat (remember how he's 34+ lbs!). Those who shop without kids must be so bored. For that reason, you can take my toddler anytime!

Just Another Manic Monday

One time Bre told me to take a bunch of pictures in a row of Tate because he goes through so many facial expressions in a matter of seconds.

So I sort of did that today. Here's a random sampling peppered with some pictures of the perfect baby, of course.

No kidding, this is what he gave me when I said to say cheese!

tv

Did anyone watch The Middle last night? I caught the tail end and was laughing pretty hard at this girl here, Sue. I realized later that she is me as a teenager. Here's why...

***I've never been able to wear eye-shadow well.
***Beer grossed me out.
***Kissing grossed me out.
***braces.
***I could never pull off the effortless cool look. If I was trying to look cool, you could tell!

If you didn't catch the show, the comparisons won't make as much sense. I couldn't find a picture of what she was wearing which included a shoelace necktie and lots of blue eye shadow.

Good times.
