Do you like our new hallway seating area? Tate has a nasty habit of making large piles of everything found in his room at night instead of sleeping. So we removed most everything but these three pieces of furniture. Last night he was found placing them in the hallway like this. Go to bed!!

Avery's so sweet. She always brings a rosy glow to my cheeks. Usually, it's when she's really tired near bedtime and pinching my face and cheeks really hard while growling and laughing.

Today at the end of church, I went to pick up Tate in his class, but wasn't sure in which room he was. Then I heard the high pitched happy squeal he so charmingly does (ha ha) and peeked into the room where I heard it. Sure enough he was on all fours perhaps pretending to be a puppy?? Anyway, I wonder what all those little 3 year old mild-mannered girls in his class think.

I was told by a friend in the ward that she was outside during nursery, as were all of the nursery kids. Their leaders said it was time to come inside, so they all did except for Aves. She took off down the sidewalk. As the other leaders were occupied with the other little ones, they yelled to this friend of mine, "Get that girl!" She didn't remember Avery's name, so she chased her saying, "Come back Sister Hibbert!" lol. Avery loves that game. Running away when you want her to come. Good times.

Looking back at these pictures, it shocks me how Avery really is growing up. This was her second week of nursery. She turns 18 months in 3 days. She doesn't bat an eye when I leave her there. However, it feels so weird as she's so little and certainly still feels like my teeny tiny baby.

Enough about my kids. Let's talk about me! I had gum surgery last Thursday. One side of my mouth (3 teeth) were done last year and this time we finished with 2 teeth on the other side of my mouth. My gums receded, I was told from brushing too hard with braces back as a teen, and so these surgeries were to correct that. The doc cuts skin from the roof of my mouth and sews them over the exposed roots of my teeth. I have a mouth full of stitches which reminds me of the girl in that movie "The Nightmare before Christmas" which I never watched because it looks dark and scary. I'm not only a weenie with movies, but surgeries, too. But I must say that recovery has been super-smooth this time.
Eric took a couple days off so I could rest and recover while he takes care of the kids. Last time it took a bit to feel better. Funny thing is that this time, I wasn't down as long. I think most people do this surgery and go back to work the same day. Like I said, I'm a weenie. Or maybe last time was just bad for some unknown reason. Anyway, Eric is a real champ =) and I had a fabulous long weekend reading books and watching chick flicks. Thanks to Eric for being such an amazing husband and dad. I know everyone says that on their blogs, but tonight this is my family history time, so I get to be honest and share a little mushiness =)
