Nifty

So, Eric and I saved our change all year in a jar on top of the fridge. We're Dave Ramsey-ites, so we budget with the envelopes and end up using cash more than the card. I've enjoyed having a place to empty the weight when I return home and not counting change at the store. Anyway, I took our jar of change into the bank today and the total was (drum roll, please......) $126! Time to buy some bling, baby! (j/k)
I just had to share because I was shocked at the amount. So, if any of you use cash, it's a fun way to pad the pocket for the holiday season!

Rambly-roos
Eric and I agree that we will be happy when we no longer trip over mixer parts and the Bart Simpson Head shaped tin! Day and night I'm tripping and tripping. I swear they follow my every move and then rest at my feet just waiting...Perhaps it's so we will feel empathy with Tate's wobbly walk and constant tripping. Or perhaps it's just annoying!
By the way, it's snowing! It's beautiful. Now I'd like to hibernate. Eric will have to find a way to rent cars from home. The end.

So many books, so little time...
Tate does this on a daily basis (emptying the bookcase).
I suppose I ought to explain the bruise on his forehead. Any of you fans of baby leashes? I just bought him a puppy backpack, that really is a leash. We're still practicing. We've used it at Winco and Home Depot, and both times he's fallen and hit his head. He also fell in our bedroom and hit the dresser. His poor face really is black and blue right now.

Seriously People
People, you have to go to Trav and Meliss' blog and watch the e-card he made for mom's birthday. Oh man, it doesn't get better. If you don't know my parents you won't think it's as funny as I do, but it's worth a look.
I kind of succeeded in getting a decent video of Tate's antics tonight. Like most toddlers, he enjoys destroying towers of anything, but I loved the gusto with which he was performing today. He was squeeling with delight as he demolished my tower over and over. It may have something to do with the apple juice induced sugar-high he was experiencing. Note the "in your face, baby blocks!" body language. (Please tilt head slightly before viewing.)
